A Sapphic Novella

Luna is a sales analyst by day - a boring job that pays the bills. Easy enough for her to process spreadsheets and answer client questions. But on the weekends, from 8 pm to midnight, she's the Moon Soul Diva. Playing songs and taking calls, talking to people across the airwaves. Only her dads know she does this, and the bit of mystery is fun.

But this Saturday night is Halloween, and the Moon Soul Diva is making her first public appearance to DJ a retro/70s themed party. She'll be disguised, of course. No need to reveal who she is.

Cece is dragging her friend Kory to a Halloween dance party, and it's her chance to dig through her closet for her grandmother's vintage dresses and really go all out. She's looking forward to dancing and sweating, singing and grooving. And there's some talk about the DJ being sort of famous, but she's got no idea who it is. If the music is good, that's all that matters.

Cece is not expecting to fall in love at first sight of the Moon Soul Diva, in sky blue sequins and silver platform boots, big blonde curls bouncing as she plays the hits of the decade. She's gorgeous, electric...and Cece can't look away.

But asking out the Diva in person feels wrong. So Cece ends the night without a date, thinking she's gone unnoticed. But she didn't. Luna definitely saw her, and was most certainly entranced by the beautiful woman in a jade green shift dress.

So how do two people who might never meet again get to know each other? Over the radio, of course.

Add in some roller skating, pier walking, hand holding, and an epic kiss on a Ferris wheel, and you're in for one mother f'er of a good time.
